Hi, I’m Anna.
If you’re here, I can relate.
I didn’t get into conflict resolution because I’m a natural peacekeeper. Quite the opposite. I grew up in a family where disagreement was buried, left to fester until it exploded into violence or hardened into resentment. I was the one “rocking the boat” because try as I might, the silent-seething model just never worked for me.
That early experience made me an obsessed student of conflict and a believer in its potential. I’ve seen how, when people set down their defenses and listen to understand, conflict can open the door to deeper connection, trust, and new possibilities.
Today, I help families, neighbors, coalitions, and communities navigate turbulent conversations with empathy, creativity, and clarity. I bring 20+ years in social change communication, training, and facilitation, plus my own lived experience with workplace disputes, divorce, co-parenting, and a politically divided family.
I’m a trained mediator with the Center for Understanding in Conflict and Community Boards, and I volunteer as a community mediator in the Bay Area. I live in San Francisco with my beautiful biracial, queer, blended family and spend as much time as possible biking, beaching, and hiking with Athena—the sweetest little rescue dog on the planet.
Conflict doesn’t have to sink the ship. I can help you find your way to calmer waters.
